FOR ONE WEEKEND ONLY!
Washougal High School Drama will stage their first live performance in well over a year Friday and Saturday, May 28 and 29 at 7pm at the WHS Washburn Auditorium. Please make plans to join them for this FREE dramatic treat.
The production is That’s Emma! an original script written by WHS Drama Teacher Kelly Gregersen based on Jane Austen’s novel Emma.
“The play is an original concept by our students based on the idea of reimaging this Regency Era comedy of manners as a reality TV show,” explained Gregersen. “Using a combination of live performance and video, the play is fast, funny, and hopefully, true to both of its influences.”
Seating will be available in the auditorium at a reduced capacity and COVID guidelines will be enforced. However, family groups may sit together. The performance will also be videoed for those are not ready to attend a live performance yet. Watch for details on how to access it.
“Our students are so excited to perform for a live audience again and we’d love to have you there cheering them on,” said Gregersen.
