Tech Talk with Students, Parents, and Community at WHS

Learn about Technology in use in our classrooms and how Washougal’s students use it to learn.  Find out how parents can help set healthy boundaries for students, learn quick tips from students in Appy-y Hour, and attend a free screening of the movie “Screenagers.”

This is a free event, for parents and families with students in grades 6-12.

  • 5:00 – 6:30 PM – Free Spaghetti Dinner
  • 5-6 PM – App-y Hour quick tips and trainings for parents, by WHS, JMS or CCMS students
  • 6-6:30 PM – Navigating News in the Digital Age
  • 6:30-8:00 PM – Free viewing of Screenagers, with discussion time afterwards.

Tech topics for parents and families will include topics like using Skyward to view student academic progress and grades; learning about Google Classroom, the tool many teachers in grades 6-12 use to assign and collect student assignments and class work; and quick overviews of online curriculum examples from different grades/subject areas.
