Cape Horn-Skye's 2008 Christmas Concerts!
"Better and better every year", that's what some are saying about the Cape Horn-Skye Christmas concerts. If you did not make it to this year's concerts, you truely did miss out on a wonderful experience.
The first night of concerts Pre-school, kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades performed, and oh how cute they are! At this age, some are very nervous in front of such a large audience and some are just little hams. But all of our wonderful little Kodiak Cubs are precious, talented and adorable. We are all very proud, I hope you are too.
The second night of concerts featured third, fourth and fifth graders and our new Cape Choir. Wow, what a dfference a few years make to the maturity of our students and their vocal abilites! Hats off to Ms. Walker, this group performed beautifully! There were many interesting and unusual Christmas pieces as well as the standards, that we all know and love. But, with this performance we were even suprized at the sophistication of our old favorites.
A STANDING OVATION for Paris Mitchell who gave an amazing solo performance of "Believe" from the Polar Express soundtrack. We can't wait to hear what she has for us next.
The new Cape Horn-Skye choir showed us what a group of 4th and 5th graders can actually do vocally. They performed these challenging songs wonderully. Our expectaions have just been raised!
Bravo to all our wonderful Kodiak performers!
We don't want to forget you, family and friends. The 12 Days of Christmas was lots of fun.
