Greetings from the Principal

Welcome to the Excelsior High School website.  On this site you will have the opportunity to learn more about the unique programs offered at our alternative high school. 

Excelsior was restructured in 2006 to be a school where students are able to maximize their academic ability, incorporate creativity into project-based learning and achieve high academic standards in a positive, nurturing environment. Our name signifies the philosophy of "onward and upward", the students selected the mascot of the rising Phoenix to signify the rebirth of the school into a positive learning environment and they developed a school motto of "Ever Upward" to signify their desire to consistently reach high goals.

Each student receives personal attention to learn in a positive environment that promotes a culture of respect, a sense of belonging and the opportunity to achieve academic success. EHS promotes access to staff, invites parent involvement and encourages community outreach to provide students the most supportive environment for success.  Students and their parents who are interested in learning more about our programs are encouraged to schedule an appointment or tour of our school.
