Avoid Spreading Colds and Flu
The Clark County Health Department and school nurses have advised students and staff to stay home from work or school if they experience a respiratory illness with a fever. This is a precautionary measure to avoid spreading influenza and other respiratory illnesses to others in the community. Please remember to:
1. Cough or sneeze in your sleeve or use a tissue and throw in the trash after use.
2. Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after coughing and sneezing.
3. Alcohol based hand cleaners are also effective but hand washing is best.
4. Avoid touching the eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread that way.
Online Payment for School Lunches
Parents can go to the district website, sign-up for a school lunch account and make payments online from home or work with a credit or debit card. A $1.15 fee applies to credit and debit transactions. Student lunches will be charged to the account, and parents can monitor the account balance from home or work. To get started, parents need a WESPaC Family Access code. Parents/guardians may contact his/her child's school secretary to get a Family Access code that works for all children in the family. The step-by-step instructions for making school lunch payments are listed on the Family Access site.
