Welcome to Third Grade!!

We currently have three teachers for third grade:

Mrs. Sue Conway, Mrs. Lindsey Hutchins, and Ms. Marja Yingling.

It is helpful if you check your child's backpack with them everyday to pull out papers they no longer need for school and to check for informational notes. Be sure to ask your child what they learned or did on the papers they have completed. 

Homework Expectations:

All third graders receive their homework packet on Mondays and need to return it completed each Friday. Please make sure you check your child's homework for quality and accuracy before it is returned to school.

Reading:  In addition to the homework packet, children need to read for at least 15 minutes every day. 

Spelling:  focus words are given out on Monday. There is a spelling test every Friday.

Math:  All children should be reviewing their addition and subtraction facts.  Multiplication facts for 1, 2, 5 and 10's must be learned by all third graders by the end of the year.
