Hathaway Elementary School Boosters
Booster Club Mission Statement
The Booster Club encourages parent participation and raises funds to enhance and expand the Academic, Enrichment and Social programs that are available to each and every student at Hathaway Elementary. The Booster Club believes that parent involvement during elementary school years can be a key to the success of the individual student.
The volunteer program at Hathaway Elementary is open to any parent, grandparent, or guardian who would like to be involved in their student’s education and/or school activities. There are several ways to be involved.
One way is to join the Booster Club Committee. This group of parents meets monthly with the school principal to discuss Booster activities and the budget. In addition, the members of this committee organize and direct Booster events or fundraisers.
Another way to be involved is to support Booster events. Anyone who would like to be a part of an activity can contact a Booster Committee member. The Parent Volunteer forms that were filled out at the beginning of the year help the Booster Committee find parents who have an interest in different events. However, parents are always welcome to contact a Booster Committee member if they wish to become involved in an upcoming event or activity.
The third way to become involved is to volunteer in the classroom. Parents are strongly encouraged to discuss with teachers how they can help out, whether it is working with students in the class or helping prepare for projects, art, or other activities. Please contact your child’s teacher directly to plan how and when you can help out.
