· PSAT Scores--172

"Exceptional Creativity"
Commencing at grade 9, students may petition for eligibility in a subject area under the "Exceptional Creativity" criteria.
To achieve eligibility in a subject area, the student must
(a) submit a recommendation from a Washougal High School teacher
currently teaching in the subject area, i.e. art, music,
(b) submit a letter of recommendation from a professional in the
subject area or documentation of accomplishment from a professional
group, i.e. awards, and
(c) present to the HiCap Multidisciplinary Selection Committee a performance or product displaying
"Exceptional Creativity."
Based on review of the three previously listed requirements, the HiCap Multidisciplinary Selection Committee will determine eligibility.
Students transferring to Washougal School District can submit documentation of their previous identification or academic records to become formally identified in grades 6-12.
Students formally identified as participants in the Highly Capable program will continue to receive services throughout their school career at WSD. Students exiting and then returning to WSD will be reinstated upon request.
InView(R)
The InView(R) is a cognitive abilities test that appraises a variety of important abilities such as understanding verbal concepts, analyzing and comprehending relationships among verbal and nonverbal stimuli, and comprehending relationships among quantitative concepts. The development of these abilities, which starts at birth and continues through early adulthood, is influenced by experiences both in and out of school.
