Reading, writing and mathematics are the focal point of a rigorous academic program. Students are given opportunities to excel with daily, double doses of reading. Mathematics activities use the concrete to develop a working understanding of concepts. The craft of writing is recognized as an essential tool to use in communicating understanding. Our "Walk to Read" program gives students the opportunity to work in small, flexible reading groups throughout the year. We emphasize activities for students and parents to complete together and we encourage reading at family events.
