Together Panther Basketball players and coaches will work hard to become the best we can possibly be both on and off the court. We will always place our emphasis on academics first, no questions about it. Coaches will strive to help players develop fundamentals and knowledge of the game that will allow them to compete at their highest level. We want to develop players who believe that through hard work our team can successfully compete against any team we play.

Basketball Program Commitment Sheet

I understand that I have a responsibility to properly represent the Men’s Basketball Program in a first class manner at all times (in school, out of school, on the floor, off the floor).
I realize that using drugs, alcohol, and/or tobacco is not a characteristic of a championship caliber athlete. My teammates can rely on me to avoid all such substances.
My commitment to this team is a full-time responsibility. My teammates can count on me to be at every practice to help us earn conference and post-season championships.
I realize that my work ethic, character, and attitude must have a positive impact on my teammates, team, and program.
Doing what’s best for our team and program is my top priority, much more so than my own personal ambitions and playing time. TEAM!
I understand that taking care of all the apparel and equipment issued to me is my responsibility, and I agree to pay replacement costs for any equipment/apparel that is lost or stolen.
My actions, language, and behavior (at all times) will reflect the proper level of respect for my teammates, team, and the Men’s Basketball Program.
I realize that working to be a successful student is the priority in being a quality student-athlete. My teammates can count on me to maintain my eligibility and properly represent the Men’s Basketball Program in the classroom.
I understand that I must behave appropriately as a student-athlete at all times, and that at no time can I receive disciplinary action from a teacher or faculty member.
I understand that I must adhere to all guidelines outlined in the athletic handbook, as well as all rules, policies, and procedures of the Men’s Basketball Program.
I realize and understand that any failure to follow the above expectations may lead to a suspension or expulsion from the Men’s Basketball Program during the current season.
