On Saturday, January 24th at 6PM the WHS Acting and Advanced Acting students will perform Check, Please! A one-act comedy that has been the most-produced short play in America for many years running. It’s a look at blind dating through a series of disastrous dates. Directed by senior Nephertiri Belcher, the show is half an hour of laughs.

On Friday and Saturday, January 30 and 31 at 7PM, the WHS Panther Players will perform Sunday Morning Special, an original murder mystery written AND directed by WHS senior Abraham White. The show takes place in a corner store where one of the regulars may not make it through the week. Abe has done a wonderful job crafting the show and this gritty, heartfelt comedy/drama is a terrific showcase of their talent.

These student-directed plays both take place at the Washburn Performing Arts Center at Washougal High School, 1201 39th St, Washougal. Tickets for the productions are FREE! We hope to see you there!

These performances are a direct result of the Washougal School Levy, which funds our student arts programs. Investing in the arts allows our students to develop their passion and share it with the community. Thank you, Washougal voters!
