Jemtegaard Middle School was honored to have many Veterans attend our Veterans Day assembly on Monday. The day started with a breakfast hosted by the Parent Boosters. Our Veterans then walked into the gym, greeted by students and staff who understood and appreciated the importance of this moment. From the color guard, to the band, to our many speakers, the JMS community showed their respect and support for our Veterans.
Many people were involved in making this event memorable. Thank you to the Patriot Riders and ASB students for greeting our Veterans. To the band and speakers at the event who shared their perspective on what Veterans Day meant to them. To our guest speaker, Mayor Stuebe, who served 30 years in the Marine Corps. Finally, thanks to Dr. Hodapp for coordinating this event again and for giving another fitting tribute.
Most importantly, thank you to our guests and their families for the sacrifices they have made to our country. While this day is special, yesterday was a powerful reminder to honor and support our Veterans every day.
