About the VFW Voice of Democracy Essay Program

Each year, around 25,000 high school students across the country enter this competition to win more than $1,000,000 in scholarships and incentives awarded by the VFW.  Established in 1947, this program provides high school students with an opportunity to express themselves through a democratic and patriotic-themed essay.
