The first day of school is September 1, 2026. The first day for Transition to Kindergarten is September 21.

Thursday, August 27, 2026, 5:00-6:00 PM – Cape Horn-Skye Back-to-School Night for all grades K-5 (gather at 5:00 first in the large CCMS gym for introductions and schoolwide information. Then, families can visit classrooms to see friends, teachers, and drop off school supplies.)

WHS
- Athletics night will be Monday, August 17 at 5:00 PM
- The WHS Counseling Team will meet with new students on course selection. Please bring a transcript if possible. Find your student’s counselor on the WHS counseling page.
There are no changes to school start times for the 2026-27 school year.
All children attending schools in Washington state must provide medically verified Immunization Records. Students who do not receive the required immunizations or provide exemption information will be excluded from school starting on the first day of school.

Meal Prices for 2026-2027 School Year
Increased meal prices help cover the costs associated with complying with nutrition guidelines and also help reduce the amount that the district is subsidizing the food program. Yearly review of meal prices are required by the USDA, following policy 6700, and the district must adjust prices when the review indicates the program is not charging enough.
For 2026-2027 – all meals for students in grades TK-5 are Free!

Bus routes for students will be sent out via email to each family in late August, usually around a week prior to the start of school.
