Professional Growth Evaluation System (PGES, formerly TPEP)

All school districts in the State of Washington are in the process of implementing the new Professional Growth and Evaluation System, which began implementation in Washougal in 2013-2014 School Year.

Washougal School District formed a working group to guide the district’s implementation of PGES, comprised of teachers from each grade level, two district principals, and two district office representatives. This group  participated in the Research Implementation Grant, with training provided by the state and ESD 112 to help districts build capacity and staff understanding of the new evaluation system.

The Washougal School District Teacher/Principal Evaluation Program Steering Committee has chosen the 5Ds model from the University of Washington’s Center for Educational Leadership (CEL) as the Evaluation Framework for district teachers.  District administrators are evaluated under the AWSP Framework for Leadership.
