Public comment will be available to both Zoom attendees and any pre-registered in-person attendees.  Patrons are strongly encouraged to access board meetings via Zoom due to very limited capacity. If you would like to speak during the public comment portion of the regular board meeting, email kori.kelly@washougalsd.org by 3:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting to submit your name and email address so that you can be called upon. Written comments will also be accepted and forwarded to the board.

Regions in Phase 3 can resume in-person public meetings, subject to certain requirements and restrictions found in Proclamation 20-28.14, Open Public Meetings Act and Public Records Act Proclamations and the state’s Miscellaneous Venues – COVID-19 Requirements.

Per the new requirements, the district will continue to provide remote access via Zoom, as well as host a very limited number of in-person attendees.  Patrons are strongly encouraged to access board meetings via Zoom due to very limited capacity.

To comply with state requirements, Washougal School District will require the following for in-person attendance:

  • Require all attendees to pre-register and submit contact tracing information;
    • Please email kori.kelly@washougalsd.org by 3:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting if you wish to pre-register to attend in person, and state if you wish to speak during public comment.  Public comment will also be available to Zoom attendees
    • Note that any contact information provided for contact tracing purposes is not subject to disclosure under the Public Records Act.
  • Ask all attendees to arrive by 6:15 p.m. to complete health screen before the meeting begins to avoid interruptions to the livestream; 
  • Require all attendees to complete a health screening (including temperature check) upon entering the building;
  • Require all attendees to wear proper face coverings;
  • Require all attendees to maintain six feet of physical distance;
  • Board room occupancy will be limited to 50% capacity;
  • Board room will be sanitized before and after each use;
  • High-touch surfaces will be frequently cleaned;
  • Doors and windows will remain open where possible;
  • Hand sanitizer will be readily available, and
  • A COVID-19 Program Supervisor will be present to ensure masking and social distancing practices are enforced.
